Antitrust Law

Antitrust law is one of those areas of law in which the line between lawful and unlawful conduct is particularly difficult to draw. A business practice that was long considered unproblematic may suddenly attract the attention of antitrust authorities and lead to substantial sanctions. The fines imposed can sometimes reach levels that threaten a company’s very existence. In addition, injured market participants may assert claims for damages.

Against this background, forward-looking and well-founded antitrust advice is of central importance for companies. For more than 25 years, I have advised German and international companies on antitrust law. My practice focuses in particular on:

  • structuring joint ventures and contractual cooperations
  • representing clients in investigations conducted by antitrust authorities and in subsequent court proceedings
  • antitrust-related civil litigation
  • merger control
  • asserting and defending against antitrust damages claims
Another important area of my expertise is antitrust compliance. You will find more on compliance here.
